The video, which allegedly shows Sunderman pleasuring herself while topless at a library desk, was posted on several porn sites. OSU officials learned about the video Tuesday, at which point they notified police, who charged Sunderland the same day. She has been cited for public indecency, for which a conviction carries up to a year in jail and a $6,250 fine.
Oregon law defines public indecency thusly: “[I]f while in, or in view of, a public place the person performs an act of sexual intercourse, an act of deviate sexual intercourse, or an act of exposing the genitals of the person with the intent of arousing the sexual desire of the person or another person.”
Fellow students were shocked, as this SFW news report shows:
“The university does not condone such behavior,” said OSU’s vice president of university relations, CNN reports. “This type of behavior does not represent the values of the university. And it definitely does not represent the values of the more than 30,000 students and 5,000 employees that make up Oregon State University.”
Maybe she could argue that it’s all just a PSA campaign to get students to go to the library more.
